Gluten free helps my tummy, grain free means that my skin won’t itch and made with ingredients that makes my tail wag. Yup you guessed it, I am sharing with you my Beco dog food review.
A few weeks back, one of the dog friendly peeps from Beco came by to see my peep to share the news of a new dog food that they just finished preparing with pet nutritionists.
With thier help they created balanced recipes using ethically sourced chicken, fish or wild boar and locally sourced vegetables and herbs, all enriched with superfoods to give us dogs the boost we need. Using only natural, honest ingredients, free from grains, preservatives, additives & meat derivatives. In fact everything you see on the bag is what you get. Tasty enough that your peep might want a bowl.
Beco Dog Food Review
Don’t get me wrong I love my chicken and I’m crazy for fish, but I decided to try the wild boar for my Beco dog food review. You see when I was in Italy and staying in the hills of Tuscany there were many wild boars running around and my peep was nervous that I would meet one when I wondered off to far into the country side. So naturally being a dog who likes to discover things with my mouth I was intrigued on how they would, well taste!
Wild boar is a lean, protein-packed meat that has fewer calories than pork and it’s also low in cholesterol. It’s also packed full of Omega 3 fatty acids, which help maintain a dog’s healthy heart, skin and shiny coat.
But besides the boar, the recipe also has Pumpkin, which is one of my favourite veggies. Pumpkin is super nutritious for your dog. It’s a rich source of fibre and is loaded with lots of disease-fighting nutrients including potassium, magnesium, and vitamins C & E. It is also very tasty too!
As you can see it has a whole bunch of ingredients that are beneficial to a dog’s health, however I know what’s important…is it going to taste good? Will I like it?
As you all know I’ve been eating home cooked food since I was a pup, however I also have a dry dog food to go with it. My peep likes the benefit of a crunchy biscuit due to it helps maintain my teeth and gums. Any how enough about me and more about the food!
First I liked the size of the kibble, it’s a good bite size for me, they also smelled terrific too! Now I know what your thinking….I’m a beagle, I’ll eat anything!
But that is not true, ask my peep! I will turn up my nose to a rubbish treat and when it comes to kibble in my dinner bowl…well if I don’t like it, I’ll spit them out all over the floor.
I really liked Beco’s dog food and the boar was very tasty. In fact my peep sometimes give me a couple as a treat.
What my peep really liked was that the bag was resealable which helps keep the food fresh.
She also liked that it has all these great benefits that helps keep me healthy.
