
Dog treats New York City is my guide of places not to miss while visiting New York with your dog. These are great places where you and your dog are welcome in that fabulous New York way. New York City has gone to the dogs!
Pet-friendly hotels
W hotels in New York City – They require a $25 US. pet charge per dog and a non-refundable $100 cleaning fee. They supply dog beds, bowls and a pet in room door sign. Staff are trained to be dog-friendly, they also have a Concierge that will offer many services such as dog walking and dog sitting.
The Loews Regency – leader of the pack in regards to being a dog-friendly hotel. They charge a $25 US clean fee. They offer beds, bowls and a pet in room door sign. They also have Gourmet room service menus for dogs, prepared by our award-winning Master Chef. Will assist you in finding great places to take your dog for a walk.
the SoHo and TriBeCa Grand Hotels: I stayed here for two nights and I must admit, it was awesome. I had a choice of bed types and got a biscuit on my bed each night, they also gave me my own bowls too. I was able to order from room service and everyone was super nice to me. The location was great due to I was only a few blocks away from my favorite dog run. They also were friendly enough to ask if I need staff to take me out and about while my owners spent their money in fancy shops in Soho.
The Waldorf Towers – Classic New York and you need to be trim to stay! Pets under 25 pounds are allowed. A one time fee is due at registration.
The Carlyle – Right beside Central Park, perfect for walks. However very stylish and they too have a weight requirement. There is a $50 per night fee. Canine guests (under 25 lbs.) enjoy: dog beds and bowls; pet snacks and Fiji water; and dog walking service.
Hilton Times Square – Right in the middle of Time Square, but not far from Central Park. Any dog under 75 lbs. can come and stay. There is a $75 US non-refundable fee.
Pet-friendly stores
Besides the usual pet shops who just love having you in their store shopping for special treats, New Yorker’s can enjoy shopping with their pooch at a lot of favorite shops. In the West Village, many shop owners have bowls of water out for a nice cool drink and some offer treats if you come inside.
The important thing for pet owners who don’t want to leave canine friends behind is to call ahead and make sure that their dog is welcome in a store.

Dog Spas
New York Dog Spa and Hotel – The first thing that you will notice upon arriving is how clean and how friendly the staff is. Dogs are able to socialize with other dogs and they get at least two private walks a day. They will cater to your dogs every need and pamper them. They offer various spa treatments for your dog, and you can choose which you prefer upon arriving.
Biscuits and Bath various locations. I use to belong to the Greenwich Village location. I had such a blast here. I socialized with other dogs, I occasionally got groomed with their organic bath products. The people were fantastic and very cool, and I also got two walks per day while hanging out with my friends. The even offered car service if needed
Dog Treats
Three dog bakery – The best all natural, oven-baked dog treats, pastries, and food. A great place to pick up some amazing treats for your dog.
American Kennels – a slew of supplies such as designer collars, imported perfumes and carrying cases.
Downtown Dog House – offers mostly organic pet items and expert grooming.
Canine Styles – four locations in NYC and a perfect place to find something nice for your dog. over-the-top indulgence. Pamper pets with stuffed toys and home-baked, lick-your-chops biscuits. Or dress them up in rhinestone collars or spiffy collar-and-leash sets. A nice assortment of handmade leather carriers, too.
Dining
There are a ton of dining establishments in Manhattan that roll out the welcome mat for dogs at their outside tables, The only place pooches legally cannot go is in food preparation areas, which translate to no dogs inside. However, there are few from my old neighbourhood dining spots that were happy to see me..
Best advice, call ahead or ask the hotel which places are dog-friendly! Also if you do find yourself out and about and your dog needs a little snack, why not try…
