Review: The Cornish Soap Company-Get Wagging Clean Naturally

When Trina told me we have a new product to review I started wagging my tail and got all excited!  She told me it had something to do with oatmeal…I love oatmeal and I was already licking my chops ready to give it a taste. However she told me it wasn’t food or even a treat. So naturally I though maybe its a new oatmeal toy to try out or a fancy new oatmeal lead…Nope, it was soap, oatmeal soap!

Have you ever seen a beagle roll its eyes?

For me to review a soap product means only one thing, I’m going to have to get into the tub…is she crazy, who’s blog is this anyways? Well if we’re going to review soap, then I am going to make sure I get down and dirty on my next walk, and that is exactly what I did. I started with a roll and a beagle jig on a dead fish and then ran around on the muddy grass. Smelly, dirty and gritty, and that means I’m getting a bath and I know I need a bath if I want to sleep on the bed. So we started filling the bath with warm water, got my towels and we grabbed  our natural oatmeal shampoo bar for dogs, made by The Cornish Soap Company.

About the Soap

All of their soaps are tested on human’s even the Natural Oatmeal Soap that I tried. It’s made chemical free for dogs with delicate or sensitive skin. The oatmeal soothes delicate or inflamed skin whilst the bentonite clay gently draws out  toxins and deep cleans the skin. The added neem oil and essential oils infused in the soap is a natural deterrent to fleas, ticks and other irritating insects and regular use will ensure your pet remains bite-free.

INGREDIENTS:
Extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, sustainably produced palm kernel oil, neem oil, castor oil, sweet almond oil, organic, unrefined shea butter, flax seed oil, oat kernel meal, bentonite clay, cedarwood essential oil, lavender essential oil, peppermint essential oil, tea tree essential oil….

Swish Splash I’m in the Tub

* Trina tried to take a photo of me, but I absolutely refused to be photographed in a tub, I have a reputation to uphold! It’s either bath or photograph me, but I will not do both! And considering it was just the two of us, there was no way Trina could do it! tee! hee!

  • Smell: It has a nice clean soapy smell, pure and clean, which will ensure that I will smell like a clean dog and not like perfume.
  • Lather & Suds: It took a little while to get lathering but that could of been that I was pretty gritty and squirming around. However once we got going, the suds were creamy and massaging it into my fur felt great and it did not drip.
  • Rinse: Easy, quick and squeaky, which really pleased me due to this is when Trina is in charge of the shower head and her hand-eye coordination is not her strong point.

The Results

After chasing me around the house with a towel, I felt really great and clean! When I was finally dry, I smelled fresh, not a trace of fish lingered on my silky fur.  I was soft and my fur looked nice and shiny. I would use this natural oatmeal soap again and recommend it as a great natural product for your pooch too!
