I love seeing photos of my furry friends, and selfies are just perfect when it comes to showing your best frisky features. So when my friend James told me that BuyAGift was hosting their Next Pet Model Contest, I couldn’t wait to tell all my wagging friends how amazing this contest is going to be!
Okay…. What’s it all about?
There on the hunt for the furry king or queen of the pet selfie, and the opportunity to become the furry face of our pet gifts! Win some amazing prizes and get pampered. What’s even better two deserving charities get to win too!
Between 3rd June – 3rd July, your furry star will be given the chance to be the next Kim Kar-dachshund or up and coming Mirranda Purr – and all you need to do is send in a pet selfie!
It’s open to all animals, and they’re on the lookout for the most camera friendly companions. However, greater kudos will be given to creative snaps – the funnier and more inventive the better – and more likely to be chosen as the overall winner!

About Angels Animal Rescue
Angels Animal Rescue was established at the beginning of 2012 by an animal lover called Chrissy Marshall after becoming concerned at the sheer amount of dogs that were needing rescue space.
She recognised that other rescues were struggling, due to the fact there were more dogs than there were homes or rescue spaces and felt she wanted to do something to help.
Chrissy set about enlisting a group of trusted volunteers to help with the running of Angels, to foster and to assist with fundraising and went from there.

From humble beginnings in 1924 Wood Green, The Animals Charity has grown to become one of the leading animal welfare organisations in the UK.
We take in animals of all shapes and sizes! As well as cats and dogs, we find loving new homes for thousands of chickens, rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, goats, sheep, ferrets and more!
We think owning an animal is one of the most rewarding things you can do and we are here to offer help and support to both people and their pets. There are lots of ways you can help, like rehoming an animal, volunteering your time, making a donation or visiting one of our Centres.

- You must become a fan of Buyagift on Facebook
- Upload your pet selfie to their Facebook page using this app (or email it directly to petmodel@buyagift.com).
- Provide your pet’s name and a sentence or two about them.
- On 24th June, they’ll select ten furry semi-finalists to be uploaded to our Facebook page.
- The five with the most ‘likes’ will be sent over to the guys at Angels and Wood Green, The Animals Charity – they will judge the ultimate winners.
- The winner and runner-up will be announced on July 10th.
