Oh, the holidays, such a busy time of year, with people dropping by your home or out and about enjoying the festive crowds can sometimes really stress out a dog. There are new smells, hyper happy peeps all over the place, boxes, noises and lots and lots of food all over the house. It can really be exhausting and sometimes a little overwhelming and it can make me feel a little stressed. When that happens I’ll usually head on over to my crate just to get away and chill. This year, my peep is going to spray my crate with a little Aroma Dog’s Chill Out, which is aromatherapy for dogs spray.

Aroma Dog Chill Out

Is a mixture of chamomile, lavender, and sweet marjoram, which are blended to help calm and quiet your pet’s nervousness. And I have to admit, it really does take the edge off during stressful times. It’s perfect for dogs that…

  • are hyperactive
  • suffer from separation anxiety
  • Sleeplessness
  • thunderstorms or fireworks
  • destructive nervousness
  • Vet visits
  • And a full house of crazy peeps over Christmas!

I think it would be really great for rescue dogs that are trying to settle into there new forever home too.

Aromatherapy can benefit humans both physically and psychologically, but it can also benefit dogs as well. However, it’s important to remember that the essential oils blends and aromatherapy that human beings can use and enjoy, might not produce the same reaction in our pets. In fact, some aromatherapy oils can be quite dangerous.

Dogs have a very sensitive sense of smell, so in most cases, it is best to use oils that are diluted and always provide an escape route. If a pet does not like an aromatherapy oil for dogs do not enforce its use.
